JIS 25CrMoS4 Heat Treatments
- Normalizing: 850 to 890°C (1/2 hour). Water or oil quenching: 840 to 880°C, Tempering: 540 to 680°C (1 hour).
- TC+TA - cold drawn and annealed to maximum hardness requirements. P+TA - peeled and annealed to maximum hardness requirements. G+TA - ground and annealed to maximum hardness requirements TC+TQ+TT - cold drawn and quenched + tempered. P+TQ+TT - peeled and quenched + tempered. G+TQ+TT - ground and quenched + tempered. Hardening: 840 to 880°C (1/2 hour), water or oil quench; Tempering: 540 to 680°C (1 hour); Normalizing: 850 to 890°C.
