PROPRIETARY KS25 Heat Treatments
- Isothermal annealing at 800°C and hold at temperature, furnace cooling to 720°C and hold at temperature for at least 10h, cool by 10°C/h to 600°C then cooling in air. Stress relieving at 600 - 650°C, hold for around 2h, cooling in air. Hardening: preheat to 350 - 450°C, heat to hardening temperature of 850 - 860°C in oil, 820 - 830°C in water. Tempering at 180 - 300°C holding for at least 2h, then cooling in still air.
