ASTM A 871 Grade 450 Type II Heat Treatments
- For thicknesses of 5 to 20 mm normally furnished in the as-rolled condition.
Quenched and tempered: Heating to minimum 900°C (1650°F), holding a sufficient time to attain uniform heat throughout the material, quenching in a suitable medium and tempering at minimum 595°C (1100°F).
