MIL 1025 Heat Treatments
- Normalized by heating to 885-913°C (1625-1675°F), and cooling in still air.
- Normalizing temperature range 1600-1700°F, air quenched; Annealing temperature range 1575-1650°F; Furnace cool to 1000°F or below; (Recommended subcritical anneal temperature is 1250°F); Austenitizing temperature range 1575-1650°F; Medium for quenching: water or polymer.
