GB GCr15SiMo Heat Treatments
- Heated to 820°C - 850°C (840°C - 880°C including molybdenum steel);
Heating time: According to the diameter or thickness of the sample, heat preservation for 1.5 min per 1 mm, oil cooled;
Tempered at temperature of 150°C - 170°C;
Tempering time: 2 h - 4 h - Quenching temperature: 820–850 °C (for Al-containing steels: 840-880°C);
Quenching holding time: about 1.5 min for each 1 mm of specimen diameter or thickness;
Quenching medium: oil;
Tempering temperature: about 150°C;
Tempering time: 1-2 h
