DIN X11CrMo5+NT2 Heat Treatments
- Normalizing and tempering (+NT2): 930-980°C, air cooling; Tempering: 710-750°C, air cooling. It may be necessary in the case of wall thickness T above 10 mm or T/D > 0.15 to apply quenching and tempering in order to achieve the intended structure and material properties.
- Normalized and tempered (NT):
Austenitizing at 930-980°C, air cooled
Tempering at 710-750°C, air cooled
