Lloyds LR Type 810 Heat Treatments
- Forgings are to be:
Fully annealed or
Normalized or
Normalized and tempered or
Quenched and tempered.
The tempering temperature is to be not less than 550°C. - The tempering and stress relieving temperatures are to be not less than 600°C. The holding times and subsequent cooling rates are to be such that the forging in its final condition is free from harmful residual stresses.
