PROPRIETARY SECURE 450 Heat Treatments

  • The steel is given the required properties by conventional quenching and tempering, i.e. austenitizing followed by quenching and, if necessary, tempering. The heat treatment depends on the chemical composition and the plate thickness. It should be noted that temperatures above 250°C should be avoided when processing the steel, as it may lose its excellent properties at higher temperatures.
