PROPRIETARY BÖHLER H700 Heat Treatments
- Annealing: 780 to 820°C, air or water cooling.
Stress relieving: 650°C (max. 660°C). Hold for at least 1 hour, air cooling, e.g. after cold drawing or reeling.
Hardening: 1000 to 1050°C / oil; Hardening of steam end: 1030 to 1040°C / oil.
Tempering: 720 to 820°C, air or water cooling. Tempering should immediately follow hardening. Hold for at least 1 hour.
Structure as hardened and tempered: As tempered + carbides
