PROPRIETARY LESCALLOY 9310 VAC-ARC Heat Treatments
- Annealing: Heat uniformly to 802-857°C (1475-1575°F), furnace cool;
Normalizing: Heat uniformly to 899-954°C (1650-1750°F), air cool;
Carburizing and Hardening: Carburize at 899-927°C (1650-1700°F), slow cool. To harden oil quench from 774-846°C (1425-1555°F);
Temper: At 121-177°C (250-350°F)
Quenched and tempered class 1: Pseudo carburized at 927°C (1700°F) for 8 hours and oil quenched. Tempered at 149°C (300°F) for 2 hours;
Quenched and tempered class 2: Pseudo carburized at 927°C (1700°F) for 8 hours and slow cooled to room temperature. Heated to 774°C (1425°F) and oil quenched. Tempered at 149°C (300°F) for 2 hours;
Quenched and tempered class 3: Pseudo carburized at 927°C (1700°F) for 8 hours and slow cooled to room temperature. Heated to 829°C (1525°F) and oil quenched. Tempered at 149°C (300°F) for 2 hours.
