- Normalize: 927°C (1700°F), 1 hour, air cool;
Austenitize: 871°C (1600°F), 1 hour, air cool / sections over 101.6 mm should be oil quenched;
Refrigerate (can be added as an additional step): (within 2 hours) -73°C (-100°F), 3 hours, air warm;
Temper: 210°C (410°F), 3 hours, air cool
