PROPRIETARY LESCALLOY 16NCD13 VAC-VAR Heat Treatments


  • Annealing: Heat uniformly to 838-860°C (1540-1580°F) and furnace cool.
    Normalizing: Heat uniformly to 899-954°C (1650-1750°F) and air cool.
    Carburizing: Carburize at 899-954°C (1650-1700°F) and slow cool.
    Hardening: Harden at 816-832°C (1500-1530°F) and oil quench.
    Tempering: Heat to 135-190°C (275-375°F) and air cool.
