PROPRIETARY LESCALLOY 13-8Mo VIM-VAR Heat Treatments
- Solution heat treated by heating to 927°C (1700°F) ± 8°C (15°F), holding 15-30 minutes at temperature, followed by an air cool. For optimum property response it is important the alloy be cooled to below 16°C (60°F) following solution treatment.
Precipitation hardening (aging) is conducted at a variety of temperature range:
H950: 510°C ± 5°C (950 ± 10°F)
H1000: 540°C ± 5°C (1000 ± 10°F)
H1025: 550°C ± 5°C (1025 ± 10°F)
H1050: 565°C ± 5°C (1050 ± 10°F)
H1100: 595°C ± 5°C (1100 ± 10°F)
H1150: 620°C ± 5°C (1150 ± 10°F)
