PROPRIETARY LESCALLOY HY-TUF VAC-ARC Heat Treatments
- Normalize: 927°C (1700°F), one hour, air cool.
Austenitize: 871°C (1600°F), one hour, oil quench
Temper: 204-316°C (400-600°F), four hours, air cool.
Anneal: Heat to 743°C (1370°F) and equalize, cool 27°C (50°F) per hour to 593°C (1100°F), air cool. Reheat to 649°C (1200°F), hold for 15-20 hours, air cool.
Heat treatment for typical transverse mechanical properties: 940°C (1725°F), one hour, air cool; 871°C (1600°F), one hour, oil quench; 288°C (550°F), two hours, air cool.
