ISO X 21 CrMoNiV 12 2 Heat Treatments
- Quenching and tempering (QT1): 1020-1070°C, air cooling, water or oil quenching; Tempering: 680-740°C (min. of 2 hours).
Quenching and tempering (QT2): 1020-1070°C, air cooling, water or oil quenching; Tempering: 640-700°C (min. of 2 hours).
If a stress relief treatment is necessary, the stress relief temperature should be at least 30°C lower than the tempering temperature.
The indications of heat treatment for guidance only, except in cases where test samples are to be reference heat treated.
