ISO F18 Heat Treatments
- 1. Normalizing: 880-920°C, air cool;
2. Normalizing: 880-920°C, air cool; Tempering: 580-660°C, air or furnace cool;
3. Quenching: 880-920°C, oil or water cool; Tempering: 580-660°C, air or furnace cool.
Where the steel is to be used at elevated temperatures, the tempering temperature must not exceed 620°C and tempering times shall not exceed 3 h.
