ISO 35S20 Heat Treatments
- Normalizing: 860-890°C; Quenching: 860-890°C (1/2 hour), water or oil quench; Tempering: 540-680°C (1 hour).
- Quenching: 860-890°C (time for austenitizing as a guide: 0.5h minimum); Medium: water or oil;
Tempering: 540-680°C (time for tempering as a guide: 1h minimum);
The temperature are for guidance, but the actual temperatures chosen shall be those that will give the properties required.
