ISO 21 CrMoV 5 7 Heat Treatments
- Quenching and tempering: 920-980°C, air cooling or oil quenching; Tempering: 680-740°C (min. 2 hours).
If a stress relief treatment is necessary, the stress relief temperature should be at least 30°C lower than the tempering temperature.
The indications of heat treatment for guidance only, except in cases where test samples are to be reference heat treated.
