STAS 35 MnSi 13 Heat Treatments
- Hardening in the range 870-900°C, quenching in water or oil, than tempering in the range 540-640°C, cooling in water.
Hot plastic deformation:
- Forging and hot rolling: 1180-800°C
- Die forging: 1150-900°C.
Annealing in the range 680-720°C, furnace cooling; Normalization in the range 870-900°C, air cooling; Hardening (I) in the range 870-900°C, water or oil cooling; Tempering in the range 540-640°C, air cooling.
