STAS 20 MnCrSi 11 Heat Treatments
- Hardening in the range 865-895°C, quenching in oil, than tempering in the range 450-550°C, cooling in water or oil.
Hot plastic deformation:
- Forging and hot rolling: 1180-800°C
- Die forging: 1150-900°C.
Annealing in the range 650-700°C, furnace cooling; Normalization in the range 870-890°C, air cooling; Hardening (I) in the range 865-895°C, oil cooling; Tempering in the range 450-550°C, water or oil cooling.
