ASTM A 1017 Grade 122 Heat Treatments

  • Normalizing: 1040-1080°C [1900-1975°F] and then Tempered: 730-800°C [1350-1470°F]; or alternative Austenitized: 1040-1080°C [1900-1975°F], subjected to accelerated cooling from the austenitizing temperature by air blasting or liquid quenching, and then tempered at 730-800°C [1350-1470°F].
