- Austenitizing at min. 900°C (1650°F); Air cool (normalize); Tempering at min. 620°C (1150°F); Post-weld heat treatment must be at or below the final tempering temperature; Following quenching the castings must be cooled below 260°C (500°F) prior to tempering.
