- Heat to 1040°C (1900°F) min, hold for sufficient time to heat casting to temperature, quench in water or rapid cool by other means.
For optimum tensile strength, ductility, and corrosion resistance, the solution heat treatment temperature should be in excess of 1040°C (1900°F).
