ASTM A 376 TP321 Heat Treatments
- Heat treatment shall consist of heating to a minimum temperature of 1040°C (1900°F) and quenching in water or rapidly cooling by other means.
A solution annealing temperature above 1065°C (1950°F) may impair the resistance to the inter-granular corrosion after subsequent exposure to sensitizing conditions.
