ASTM A 278 Class 80 Heat Treatments


  • Stress relieving; T <= 200°C Heating: 565-650°C (min. 2 hours and a max. 12 hours) The heating and cooling rates shall be uniform and shall not be more than 250°C/hour for castings of 25 mm max. section. For heavier sections the max. heating and cooling rates in °C/hour shall be 5000 divided by the max. section thickness.
