ASTM A 193 B7 Heat Treatments


  • Use of water quenching is prohibited for ferritic grade when heat treatment is performed after heading or threading. Heat treated by quenching in a liquid medium and tempering at minimum temperature of 593°C. Unless otherwise specified, material may be heat treated by the furnace, the induction or the electrical resistance method.
