AISI T-15 Heat Treatments
- Pre-heat at 816 - 871°C (1500 - 1600°F) then austenitize at either 1227°C (2240°F) in a salt bath or 1238°C (2260°F) in a controlled atmosphere furnace. Oil quench or quench in molten salts and air cool. When a salt quench is employed, its temperature shall be 538 - 579°C (1000 - 1075°F). Temper three times at 538°C (1000°F) for 2 hours each
