AISI O-6 Heat Treatments
- Austenitizing: Salt Bath: 788°C (1450°F), Controlled Atmosphere Furnaces: 802°C (1475°F); Austenitizing time: 5-15 minutes; Quench Medium: Oil; Tempering: 204°C (400°F), Single-tempered for 2h
- Hardened and quenched: 788-815°C, cooling in water. Tempered: 150-427°C. Annealed: 774-802°C, maximum rate of cooling: 11°C/hour.
