AISI D-7 Heat Treatments
- Preheat: 816°C (1500°F); Austenitizing: Salt Bath: 1052°C (1925°F), Controlled Atmosphere Furnaces: 1066°C (1950°F); Austenitizing time: 10-20 minutes; Quench Medium: Air; Tempering: 204°C (400°F), Single-tempered for 2h
- Preheated: 650-705°C; hardened and quenched: 1010-1065°C, cooling in air. Tempered: 150-260°C. Annealed: 870-900°C, maximum rate of cooling: 28°C/hour.
