AISI 4617 Heat Treatments
- Heated to a suitable temperature at or above the upper critical temperature, but not exceeding 925°C (1700°F), held a sufficient length of time to attain essentially uniform temperature throughout, and cooled as appropriate for the condition specified.
- Normalized at 925°C ± 6 (1700°F ± 10) and the test specimen austenitized at 925°C ± 6 (1700°F ± 10).
