AISI 310 Heat Treatments
- After hot working, forgings shall be cooled to a temperature below 538°C (1000°F) prior to heat treating.
Solution treating and quenching: austenitizing/solution heat treatment temperature 1038°C (1900°F) minimum, liquid cooling. Quenching cool below 260°C (500°F). - Annealing: Heating to 1038-1121°C (1900-2050°F). Stress relieving between 468 ± 13.9°C (875 ± 25°F) and 816°C (1500°F) is prohibited. Stress relieving should be at 899°C (1650°F) for 1 hour; water quenching.
