AISI 1335 Heat Treatments


  • Heated to a suitable temperature at or above the upper critical temperature, but not exceeding 925°C (1700°F), held a sufficient length of time to attain essentially uniform temperature throughout, and cooled as appropriate for the condition specified.
  • Normalized: 870-925°C; Annealed: 845-900°C; Hardened: 815-845°C, quenching in oil.
