AISI 1137 Heat Treatments
- Class A bars shall be cold drawn using normal drafting practises. After cold drawing, the bars shall be stress relieved at a temperature of not less than 288°C.
- Bars and Mechanical Tubing over 62.5 mm in Nominal OD or Least Distance Between Parallel Sides: Hot finished, and normalized or otherwise heat treated to produce best machining qualities.
Forgings: Normalized or otherwise heat treated to produce best machining qualities.
