- Carbonitrided: 900-925°C, cooling in water or caustic; reheat: 790°C, cooling in water or caustic (3% sidium hydroxide); Carbonitrided: 790-900°C, cooling in oil; temper: 120-205°C. Hardened: 855-870°C, quenched in water or caustic.
