SAE N-155 Heat Treatments
- Casting shall be heated to 802°C ± 6°C (1475°F ± 10°F), held at heat for 50 hours ± 1 hour and cooled to room temperature.
Elevated Temperature Tensile Properties at 816°C (1500°F):
Specimens heated to 816°C ± 6°C (1500°F ± 10°F), held at heat for 20 to 30 minutes before testing and tested at 816°C ± 6°C (1500°F ± 10°F) at a rate of 0.03 to 0.07 mm/mm/min. - Material condition: 1177°C; 760°C.
