SAE 6477 Heat Treatments
- Bars, forgings, and tubing shall have given mechanical properties after being heated to 829 ± 13°C (1525 ± 25°F), held at heat for 20 ± 2 minutes, and quenched in commercial paraffin oil (90 - 110 SUS at 38°C (100°F)) at room temperature.
