SAE 6475 Heat Treatments
- Normalized at 927-954°C (1700-1750°F), air cooled, hardened at 899°C (1650°F), oil quench and tempered at not lower than 593°C (1100°F).
Nitriding: heated at 524 ± 6°C (975 ± 10°F), held at heat for 20 ± 0.5 hour, and cooled in air.
