PN 38HNM Heat Treatments
- Hardening in oil at 830-850ºC then Tempering in water or oil at 580-620°C.
- Hardening in oil at 840ºC then Tempering in air or oil at 620ºC; Hardening temperature: 845°C; Delivery forgings: Heat treated at 1050-850°C: Softening: 650-700°C; Normalizing: 830-860°C; Hardening in water at 830-860°C or in the oil at 830-850°C: Tempering: recommended for dismounted cooling after tempering (oil or water) at 540-660°C.
