ASME SA-376 16-8-2H Heat Treatments
- Unless otherwise stated in the order, heat treatment shall consist of heating to a minimum temperature of 1040°C (1900°F) and quenching in water or rapidly cooling by other means. If cold working is involved in processing, the minimum solution-treating temperature 980°C (1800°F) and if the material is hot-rolled, the minimum solution-treating temperatures 980°C (1800°F).
