ASME SA-335 Grade P2 Heat Treatments
- Shall be reheated for heat treatment.
If furnished in the normalized and tempered condition, the minimum tempering temperature shall be 675°C (1250°F) or subcritical annealing range 650 - 705°C (1200 - 1300°F).
It is recommended that the temperature for tempering should be at least 50°C (100°F) above the intended service temperature; consequently, the purchaser should advise the manufacturer if the service temperature is to be over 600°C (1100°F).
