ASME SA-266 Class 4 Heat Treatments
- All forgings shall receive a heat treatment consisting of annealing or normalizing followed by tempering, at the manufacturer's option. When mutually agreed between manufacturer and purchaser, the forgings may be liquid quenched and tempered. The tempering temperature following normalizing or quenching shall be not less than 595°C.
