ASME SA-182 F 2 Heat Treatments
- After hot working, forgings shall be cooled to a temperature below 538°C (1000°F) prior to heat treating.
Annealed at min 900°C (1650°F), furnace cooled.
Normalized at min 900°C (1650°F), air cooled; Tempered at min 620°C (1150°F).
Alternatively, Grade F 2 may be given a heat treatment of min 650°C (1200°F) after final hot or cold forming.
