SS 22 23 Heat Treatments
- High temperature annealing: 950 - 1000°C. After annealing, the material must cool in such a way that coarse structure is avoided without harmful stresses arising in the material.
Normalizing: 910 - 940°C, holding time at least 10 minutes per cm of wall thickness, but a total of at least 20 minutes, cooling freely in air.
Annealing after normalization: 650 - 720°C, holding time at least 10 minutes per cm of wall thickness, however, a total of at least 20 minutes, cooling freely in air.
