GOST 55 Heat Treatments
- Normalization: heating temperature at 850 +/- 15°C and cooling in air 30 min.; Hardening at 820°C and cooling in the water; Tempering at 600°C +/- 50°C and cooling in air 1h; Quenching at 805 - 850°C, 30 min., cooling in oil or water; Annealing at 550 - 600°C, 1h and cooling in air
- Normalizing: 830-860°C, Hardening: 805-835°C in water; 815-845°C in oil; Tempered: 540-680°C, air cooled
