UNI X 10 Ni 9 KG Heat Treatments
- Material with a maximum diameter or thickness of 250mm shall be normalized and quench hardened and tempered (N+Q+T) as follows: Normalize at 880 - 920°C and air cool, then harden by air cooling or oil or water quenching from 780 - 820°C, and then temper at 540 - 600°C and rapid air, oil or water cool (at a minimum cooling rate of 170°C per hour).
