UNI C 21 Heat Treatments
- Annealing: Heat to 650-690°C, hold 2 hours then slow cool in the furnace (approximately 50°C per hour) to 500°C or below, followed by cooling to room temperature in still air. Normalizing: Heat to 880-900°C, hold at temperature for a time sufficient to complete transformation then cool in still air.
