- The specification contains the following heat treatment: Material with a maximum diameter or thickness of 250mm shall be quench hardened and tempered (Q+T) as follows: Harden by air, oil or water quenching from 850 - 880°C, then temper at 540 - 660°C and air or furnace cool.
