UNI 18 NiCr 16 Heat Treatments
- Annealing: Heat to 650 - 690°C, hold for 2 hours then slow cool in the furnace (approximately 50°C/hour) to 500°C or below, followed by cooling to room temperature in still air.Harden by oil quenching from 810 - 830°C for a minimum of 1 hour. Stress relieve by heating to 170 - 190°C for a minimum of 2 hours, followed by cooling in still air.
