- Quenched and tempered (I);
Air or oil quenched at 980 to 1030°C and tempered at 150 to 260°C. Quenching normally preceded by a full annealing treatment. Quenched:
- for t <= 100 mm, still air quenched,
- for t <= 140 mm, blown air quenched,
- for t <= 280 mm, quenched in oil
Quenched and tempered (II);
Air or oil quenched at 980 to 1030°C and tempered at 400 to 520°C + 150 to 260°C. Quenching normally preceded by a full annealing treatment. Quenched:
- for t <= 100 mm, still air quenched,
- for t <= 140 mm, blown air quenched,
- for t <= 280 mm, quenched in oil
Structure:
- for +QT1 condition – Martensitic, austenitic, carbide
- for +QT2 condition – Martensitic, carbide, (austenitic)
