AFNOR NF 38 B 3 Heat Treatments
- Heated in the range at 835-865°C, cooled in oil or water for d ≤ 40mm and in water for d > 40 mm and:
Tempered I at 500-600°C
Tempered II at 450-550°C
Jominy test at 850 ± 5°C - Hardened at 835-865°C, quenched in oil
Tempered at 500-600°C
